Power System Consultants (PSC) is a growing grid / renewable consultancy under the brand name of SmartGPower (SGP). We are a specialist services provider to DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs, utility contractors, and developers to facilitate the net zero transition. 


About a position:

We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a growing team in Ealing, West London. As part of the team, you will be responsible for managing current account and drive sales growth to bring more business. You will play a crucial role in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase brand visibility. Moreover, you must represent a company with other colleagues at industry event to further expand brand’s awareness.

This position requires a dynamic individual with strong sales and commercial acumen with proven experience at power / engineering / construction consultancy.

  1. Manage and grow existing client accounts by identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.

  2. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and market share objectives.

  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the brand's presence in the market.

  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including client’s delivery team, project direction and delivery managers and decision-makers.

  5. Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences, trends, and competitor activities.

  6. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.

  7. Provide regular reports and updates to management on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.

  8. Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.


Qualifications:


  1. Proven experience in sales and or in a commercial / Account management role, preferably in construction / power / renewable consultancy.

  2. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  6. Hybrid role with flexibility to travel as needed.


This Business Development Manager will report to Managing Director. You will be a permanent employee of our company and support the growth of the business.


You will attract a salary of up to £39,500 depends upon skill and experience. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remotes.
